It has been quite the changeful and exciting year for us at SUSAN BIJL. First we presented a new collection of The New Shoppingbag, named Horizons. We’ve talked about that on this blog earlier this year. We also started working with a new logo and a new design for our company. Last month we asked Pieter Vos from designers’ 75B to shed some light on this transition.
Another big change is the fact that we opened a physical store in the last summer! It is located in the centre of our hometown Rotterdam, in a beautiful space that used to be a barbershop. The newest collection of Susan Bijl is of course on display, as well as other stuff from previous presentations. The location itself features high ceilings, big windows and some great custom made furniture (with great help from Tonio de Roover and Sietse Heslinga!). It also houses the office and work space of Susan Bijl.
The store is located only a few minutes by foot of the new Central Station of Rotterdam, an architectural gem. The area also houses a lot of local fashion designers and stores.
You are most welcome to visit us at Mauritsweg 45A, Rotterdam (The Netherlands). We’re opened from Monday to Saturday, from 10 till 18. Except on Mondays when we start at 12. On Fridays we stay open until 21 and on Saturday we call it quits at 17. We hope to see you soon!
