SUSAN BIJL X Tsutaya Books Daikanyama, Tokyo

We are thrilled to show you our new pop-up store in Japan, hosted by Tsutaya Books Daikanyama, our favourite bookstore in Tokyo.

The SUSAN BIJL pop-up store is open until April 26th. During this time, we will host events. Follow our Japan Instagram to stay up to date!

SUSAN BIJL has a longstanding connection with Japan. Whenever we are in Tokyo, we make sure to visit Tsutaya Books Daikanyama, with its broad selection of art, design, architecture, and photography books and magazines. It is a top destination for book and architecture enthusiasts. We are very excited to display our new Amplify collection in this rich environment.

About Tsutaya Books Daikanyama
Designed by Klein Dytham Architecture (Kenya Hara supplied the communication design, and Tomoko Ikegai orchestrated the overall creative direction), the three connected buildings of Tsutaya Books in Daikanyama are impossible to miss. Surrounded by trees and greenery, it expresses the perfect relaxed atmosphere to get lost in the world of books and magazines. It lives up to the store’s central theme: ‘A Library in the Woods’. Daikanyama is a cosy neighbourhood just south of Shibuya. It’s a relaxed mix of shops and residential buildings, primarily low-rise. Streetwear and (luxury) fashion brands make up most of the shops.

Book selection by SUSAN BIJL

We have selected books and magazines that have inspired or influenced our lives and work. This selection includes books by Experimental Jetset, Amie Dicke, David Hockney, Kim Gordon and more.

ABOUT: Blanks

ABOUT: Blanks sketch and notebooks are made from reused and recycled materials. Vintage books are given new life by removing the pages and refilling them with blank sketch paper. Each cover is unique.

The books and ABOUT: Blanks will be for sale during the pop-up at Tsutaya.
