On March 3rd, SUSAN BIJL is launching the new collection ‘Insight’ simultaneously in Rotterdam and Tokyo!
During a month-long pop-up in The Bee’s Knees (A-Gent Tokyo) gallery space in Kiyosumi, Koto-ku, SUSAN BIJL will open her own doors for the very first time in Japan.
The relationship between SUSAN BIJL and Japan started in 2004 when our shopping bags were introduced to the Japanese market for the first time. We were awarded the Deshima Award in 2006, an award that is presented to companies that have demonstrated successful business development in Japan and have added value to society.
Fast forward to 2023, Japan has remained one of our most popular reselling countries. We feel privileged to present our brand in Japan, with its rich culture, elegant customs and attention to quality. The architecture, (street) culture, arts and cuisine are an ongoing inspiration to our brand and team.
Most recently, at the end of 2022, the SUSAN BIJL team finally managed a long-awaited return. Not only to travel and visit customers but also to visit Susan and Vincent’s eldest son, Spijker, who chose to spend six months in Japan during his gap year.
Enough reason to bring a piece of Rotterdam to what now feels like our second home by presenting the new collection ‘Insight’, during our very own pop-up, in collaboration with A-Gent Tokyo.
