SUSAN BIJL is touring Japan!
This June, we are happy to be in Tokyo at AL Gallery, a beautiful space in Ebisu near Naka-Meguro station, where we have designed a special installation-style exhibition of our products.
AL Gallery
At the gallery, we combined banners and products, displaying the qualities of our signature ripstop nylon fabric and its vibrant colours. The entire line of designs will be exhibited, including classics like The New Shopping Bag and items from specials like our collection with Experimental Jetset.
Furoshiki
Accompanying the installation, we have created a limited edition Furoshiki to express our respect and admiration for Japan. Furoshiki are traditional Japanese wrapping cloths (For more than a thousand years now.) Using different folding techniques, the furoshiki can carry various items, from bottles to watermelons, boxes and gifts. The furoshiki can be seen as a beautiful alternative for single-use plastic bags (as it functioned as one long before plastic was invented :-)).
All SUSAN BIJL products on show are also for sale at AL Gallery.
Come and say hi at the opening party on Thursday, June 15th, at 6 pm! Our team from Rotterdam will be there, and we would love to meet you :-D. The installation is open until July 2nd.
Colouring workshop
On Saturday, June 17th, we will also host a colouring page workshop at AL Gallery for kids and adults. Always wanted to create your favourite colour combination or print for The New Shopping Bag? Now is your chance!
