This round, low table conveys a relaxed familiarity that resists categorisation. In accordance with Alvar Aalto’s conception of versatile furniture, it moves naturally between public and private spheres. The Finnish birch from which it is made boasts a natural beauty and radiates warmth; environmentally friendly, it will age gracefully over time. As with all Aalto products, Table 90D continues to be fabricated semi-industrially, according to strict criteria and with a high proportion of handcraftsmanship.
This item is part of Form 25. The collection combines bags with Artek items, colour curated by Susan, reinterpreting these interior classics.

About Artek
About Artek
Recognised today as one of the great masters of modern architecture and one of the co-founders of Artek, Alvar Aalto (1898-1976) was born in Kuortane, Finland. Aalto designed buildings for almost all key public institutions, standardised housing and private homes. Aalto began designing furnishings as a natural extension of his architectural thinking. His first modern piece of furniture was created in 1931-32 for the tuberculosis sanatorium in Paimio, Finland. Artek was set up in 1935 to market and sell his and his wife Aino’s furniture, lighting, and textiles, particularly on international markets.
