SUSAN BIJL Kralingen is moving!

On the 1st of June 2026, we move to Avenue Concordia 30 in Kralingen, a characterful, listed former post office. 

We know Kralingen well. In the summer of 2020, we opened a second store in a former factory on the Oostzeedijk, known locally as De Achtertuin, tucked behind the houses on the street. An unlikely address that somehow suited us perfectly. For six years, store, office and warehouse all shared the same roof. Customers found us anyway and got an honest look at how things work behind the scenes at SUSAN BIJL.

Our current building will be redeveloped, so we went looking for a new home. We found one. Avenue Concordia 30 is well situated near the Lusthofstraat, metro stop Voorschoterlaan and the tram stops on the Oudedijk, easy to reach and hard to miss.

The building is currently home to Rotterdam interior studio DOEN. They're not going far. 
Down, actually: into the basement, where they're opening their appartamento, a new studio and showroom. We're taking the ground floor.

With the move, we're handing our warehouse operations to a fulfillment partner. After more than 20 years packing web orders by ourselves, the timing is right. It gives the team space to focus on what this has always been about: designing colourful, functional products built to last.

The store opens on Monday 8 June 2026. We'll be celebrating the official opening in September, more details to follow.
