SUSAN BIJL X Koen Taselaar

The day has arrived: prints are back!

We are thrilled to present our upcoming collection, created with artist Koen Taselaar. Koen designed three prints and went all the way by combining them – all in one bag!

Collection

While exploring our shopping bag, Koen thought of the game Exquisite Corpse. In this game, each participant writes or draws on a sheet of paper, folds it to conceal their contribution, and then passes it to the next.

This playfulness perfectly aligns with our 2022 collection and overall motto of the year, PLAY. Koen's drawings are elaborate and vibrant and have equally interesting names: Kiki Bouba, Terrazzo Taselaar and Endless Smoking Croissant. The limited SUSAN BIJL X Koen Taselaar collection features The New Shopping Bag, The New Pouch and The New Trash Bag in all sizes.

Check out the complete collection!

Koen Taselaar

Koen Taselaar (Rotterdam) presents a distinctive universe in which only he sets the rules. His works are playful and funny, containing detailed drawings as well as clumsy ceramics and elaborate tapestries. We have found a colourful match in Koen, and we are proud of a highly unique collaboration.

Dufarge

There's more! We've extended the collection with three skate decks depicting Koen's prints ánd our iconic flash. We've had a long-standing desire to design a deck with Rotterdam-based skateboard company Dufarge. As a skateboarder and a close Dufarge friend, Koen was the perfect match to finally make it happen. Available in 8.25, 8.375 and 8.5 inches.

Launch & competition

Sales start on Friday, June 10th, at 10 am (CET). The collection will be available on SUSANBIJL.COM, SUSAN BIJL stores and selected retailers.

We will celebrate the launch with drinks in our Mauritsweg store.  Across the street, Dufarge will host a best-trick contest during the launch: join the competition and WIN all 3 SUSAN BIJL x Koen Taselaar x Dufarge decks.

Register at 16:30. The competition & drinks in our store start at 17:00!
