In light of our new ‘Leftover’ collection, we’ve approached The New Generation to get their perspective on the environment, and what brings colour to their lives. For this edition, we take you to 16 year old Sofyan Benhija in Almere.
Describe yourself in three words.
Helpful, funny and spontaneous.
Tell us something about yourself and your hobby.
I’ve been living in Almere all my life and I love soccer. I’ve been doing since whenever I could walk and I think about it almost constantly. I’m a member of a soccer team.
What part does colour play in your life?
Objects and clothing can be nice without colours, but colours that match are almost always more nice.
What do you do to make the world a little bit prettier?
I mind where I dispose of my trash.
Is there anyone who inspires you to act more environmental-friendly?
Not a person per se, it’s images of nature that touch me and make me conscious.
What will the world look like in 10 years from now?
I hope that the current situation has improved a lot and that technology will be much more advanced.
Sofyan is wearing The New Bum Bag in Blue & Oranda. ‘Leftover’ will be available from November 22.
